A Leap of Faith I by Joe Leinweber Jr America 2010 Over the past 40 years we have sat back and allowed the two parties to run this nation into the ground. Our apathy and ignorance has allowed special interests, lobbyists, environmental extremists and just about whoever had any form of monetary incentive to offer our representatives a louder voice over ours, the people. The Tea Party movement and other Grass Roots organizations that have come to the forefront in the past year and a half are the voices of the silent majority. Be Silent No More! We hear terms like; Post American Era and Post Industrial Society coined by those who hide behind the First Amendment’s mandate of freedom of speech while speaking and proposing our demise. Our Representatives represent only their own self interests or that of the party. They spout the rhetoric of “for the people” while lining their own pockets, taking from ours. We do not have a two party system but only one party; the incumbent party, which seeks only to perpetuate its own power. Do we remember that Jefferson warned us? "In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution" ~ Thomas Jefferson (Kentucky Resolutions) The electorate of DC today has broken the bonds of the Constitution as they circumvent their authority and ignore the mandates of its' very content. We have become the dependents of the two parties that have done no more for us than rape, pillage and plunder this nation's most sacred mandates for their own sake. As we enter this time of peril, we foolishly recall the wrong history of our nation as the GOP fights for its' very survival, using the lost election of George Walker Bush to incite its' concerns of disenfranchised former real Republican Conservatives now running as independents; and as the Democrats suffer from the intervention, infiltration and occupation of its' highest seats by progressives that would seek to turn America into what so many have fought, shed their blood and died for to prevent. The only history we need remember is that of the small and so few, barely a third of those occupying the colonies, that risked everything, took the chance, stood up alone, against the tyranny and cast off the bonds of their oppressors to stand and fight and give their lives so you and I could taste the freedom this nation has allowed us to have. You must now declare your independence. Independence from the rhetoric and cliché of the political parties. Whether you are a Republican, Democrat, a Libertarian, Green or one of the many other organized registered political parties. We need independent thinkers that think America is a great nation. Independent men or women that believe in that Constitution wrought in the blood of our founding fathers was written as a testament to one's burning desire for freedom. Cast, defended and upheld by the blood of those that have gone before us and those that will sustain it. Declare your independence and cast off the chains of those that conspired against us in the name of our best interest or our security. Cast off 40 years of the new tyrants gaining a foothold in the hallowed halls of our founding fathers. Remember the real history of America and its' struggle against all odds and that every founding father warned us of the dangers of party power. They speak of power but not of the people and hang their heads or turn their backs on the Constitution they swore to uphold. Americans make your stand on November 2, 2010. VOTE for an INDEPENDENT or an unknown and KICK OUT THE INCUMBENTS that are left as they announce now their flight from the ship called America that they think they have sunk. Think hard as more and more of these rats flee by announcing their retirements or decline to run for re-election. Oh you out there in America that fear if you don’t stay true to the party the opposite one will win. This is not a game, there is nothing to win, our liberty and freedom are at stake! I can take the leap of faith after half my life dedicated to the party; having served this nation during Vietnam, the Gulf War and through the end of the Cold War; believing that we must take this stand now or we do not deserve the freedom our founders gave us. Every one of you that vote, or should vote, must take that leap. Have faith in the Lord that his hand will intervene and provide the wisdom and fortitude for us all to return America to its' roots and core beliefs in the individual, freedom and liberty without government intrusion into everything we do. If we do not believe, nor have the faith and lack the courage we will get what we deserve and not what we want. Samuel Adams quote to the loyalists "crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you, may your chains sit lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were ever our countrymen.” I am an Independent American, Constitutional Conservative, and Christian, who has never forgotten his oath to the Constitution and you the people. I am willing to serve Tennessee and America again in this most difficult time. I will do my best and fight for what is right and within the Constitutional authority of the office, your office of the US House of Representatives. |

| A Leap of Faith II by Joe Leinweber Jr How can we today invoke the idea of freedom but be slaves to a political party? How can we shout of the Constitution but feel the need to align ourselves with agendas and political affiliations that have long since lost their constitutional compass? Are we really Americans; born of the blood of the rugged, independent, innovative, self reliant spirits of our forefathers? Remember the Men, Women, Black, White, Oriental, Native American and all who struggled and fought, often against each other, nature, the terrain, and all odds to establish a nation of personal and individual freedom and liberty. Are we their offspring, the future they suffered and prospered for? Is the political drug generic or brand name? Legacy seats and career politicians that expect and plan the hereditary chain of their seat in the Congress, forgetting that it is the people’s seat to award or deny, and they did not inherit it allowing them the indulgence to pass on within a family. Though I need not mention their names, some famous, some subtle, yet part of the convincing and conniving cooperative conspiracy against the constitution, rooted in the dominant parties, which virtually renders us subservient to an elitist pedigree of entitled political professionals. America, Americans, now is your time to take back your nation. Rich, poor, middle class, no class; we have the chance to put an end to the two party dominance that has forced us to live with the “lesser of two evils” running our nation into the ground. Can’t you see how wrong it is to have those in office for a lifetime and then allow and even tout the handing over of the people’s seat at the table of the Republic to the next family member in line, waiting in the wings? How in God’s name did we let this happen? Every one in the U.S. Congress is complicit in our current strife. We are responsible for letting it happen with our complacency and self indulgence, which distracted us while that which we take for granted but hold in highest regard. Our freedom, prosperity and individuality is being hijacked by those that would seek to destroy America in the name of the greater good. Which is only double speak for the creation of an entitlement nation where one is punished for their free spirit of individual prosperity. Yes America; you fear what they would have you fear. The GOP would create and perpetuate the fear that if you would vote your conscience or spirit. They may lose their power or it may continue in the hands of the progressives that have hijacked a once viable and important part of America. There is nothing wrong with liberals, democrats, conservatives, idealists, etc…. What is wrong is the power and strangle hold they have on people that are like sheep being lead to their slaughter. There is very little difference between the two and those few that have stood their ground but have been there for years and decades have been part of the problem not he solution. Oust them all America! There is no re-birth of the GOP if the same people are in power. The Democrats have become the prostitutes of whoever gets the most press coverage that is anti George Bush, who by the way is no longer president. Where did the President go! We do not have one today! Both parties are the party of no one except when it comes to their own perpetuity. The GOP was in power for decades, for the most part. Do you really think that the economic collapse occurred overnight? The GOP was in power when they underfunded social security, underfunded Medicare, over funded Fannie and Freddie and allowed the banking industry to run wild creating an investment scheme in derivatives that makes Bernie Madoff look like a small time con. And for you democrats that think this is the way to go; what country do you live in? Michael Moore go live in Cuba. Oprah go live in Denmark or Sweden. Hey Streisand why are you still here? Hey Cindy Sheehan you dishonor your sons sacrifice. And then there are the likes of Soros and Turner both having taken full advantage of the American dream but want to spread the wealth now all around but not theirs? Get out, go live in Iran, China or Venezuela. You too Danny Glover, Sean Penn and the host of Hollywooders that got lucky and somebody discovered their ability to remember some lines, or use a teleprompter and then pay them millions to do it? America, Americans; The people I see on the side of the road selling their possessions to eat or pay bills, unemployed, frustrated and real disenfranchised. From the local flea market, wonderful, warm hearted, hard working, struggling Americans, more beautiful than the finest airbrushed model on the cover of People or Vogue. Those wonderful people that won’t give up, won’t take charity, find a way, work two jobs, go to church, believe in God and believe in America and that better days are ahead. Shame on you trust-fund babies that stop drilling for oil on our soil, not just yours. You brats that do not have to work for a living to put food on the table yet block a whaling ship of hard working men trying to make a living in the name of preserving a species for what, so you can look at them and marvel while you drink expensive wine and eat Caviar. Don’t get me wrong America, but let's use some common sense. Those that want you to drive an electric car fly around in private jets and ride in limos. They are self indulgent hypocrites! Don’t get me wrong; I love the rags to riches environment of America, the personal opportunity for all if they are willing to go the extra mile. But I loathe those that inherit their wealth and then seek to stifle the rights of others or restrain prosperity in the name of some rat in the desert or sand flea. I say to you America, if we fail to finish what we started, The Tea Party movement, or let it be taken over by a political party, or become the platform for a particular candidate, make opportunists wealthy at our expense, then what we have begun was in vain and all we will get is what we deserve. Simply the substitution of the other side of the same coin. Abandon the party. Look for the Independent. They are the real conservatives that have the courage to stand up against the odds, the big party money and political machine. In the tradition of the founders who sacrificed all for a new nation handed down to us through the blood and sacrifice of generations. Are we worthy? Can we keep this Republic? It is up to YOU! |
