MISSION STATEMENT:
Great Smoky Mountain Dog Club (GSMDC) is a non-profit
organization.The Club's purpose is to educate the public about dog
breeds, host dog sporting events, and welcome all who support the
standards and contribute to the success of the GSMDC, United Kennel
Club as well as the breeders, fanciers, and handlers who wish to exhibit
purebred dogs in the spirit of Good Sportsmanship. Proceeds raised
benefit GSMDC and purchases of dog sport equipment necessary for
sporting events, rental of show halls and other expenses involved for
hosting annual and bi-annual dog shows.

GSMDC hosts TWO great weekends of UKC conformation
dog shows each year. One show in April and another in
October.
Spring is lovely in Tennessee and Fall foliage is quite an
attraction. With lots of dogs gathering in Athens, TN, for
our dog shows, it's a great time to visit Tennessee!
We always expect dogs from several surrounding states
to compete. Bring the Dogs, the family and your camera!
The Great Smoky Mountain area is a site to behold. We'll
show you what southern hospitality is all about.
Come join the fun in April and October!
